About Ben
Ben is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Master of Financial Planning, a Bachelor of Business and Advanced Diploma of Financial Services. Ben was initially a holistic financial adviser and then moved to specialise in insurance when joining Austbrokers Life in 2011. Since that time, Ben has been appointed to the advisory boards of several of Australia’s largest insurers and contributes to the industry through education articles; often referenced as an industry expert. Ben has been nominated for and won many awards; most notably inaugural Austbrokers Life Adviser of the year. Outside of work, Ben is a woeful surfer and even worse golfer and despite having played rugby internationally, he is most proud of having completed several IronMan triathlons whilst weighing over 100kg.

About Brent
Brent has been working in the industry since 2009 and has specialised in personal insurance for most of that time. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and is currently completing his Advance Diploma of Financial Services. Since working as a risk specialist, Brent has had exposure to the full gamut of clients, and has supported them and our referral partners since joining the Austbrokers Life team in 2020. He has a wealth of knowledge about different benefits, options, and specific policy features. When Brent isn’t at work he is generally spending time with his family, fiancée, and dog Scottie. He was not a bad football (soccer) player back in the day but that was a long time ago, so even though he does still play on weekends, it is more for the banter and a laugh than anything else.

Brilliant has worked in the financial services industry for over 4 years. Outside of work, she volunteers her spare time by feeding stray cats and dogs. She loves playing volleyball (albeit being only 157cm tall), exploring mountainious regions and going to the beach (despite being a horrible swimmer).

About Gray
Gray commenced his career as a risk specialist in the 1990’s. he holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and was previously a board member of the ACT Branch of the Australian Life Writers Association. He was a company director of Capital Wealth for 10 years, providing risk and super advice before the business was sold to Austbrokers Life. He continues to pursue his lifelong love of snow skiing and was an instructor in the early days. He is a regular golfer at Royal Canberra Golf Club with average skills.

She initially started at Austbrokers Life providing support in the super and group insurance area before moving to support our risk advisers in personal risk insurance. John was initially a holistic financial planner, but after witnessing serious illnesses and a fatal road incident among family and friends, the importance of an appropriate insurance policy and the life changing difference it can make, led John to become an insurance specialist. John was recently a finalist Risk Adviser of the year. Outside of work, John has been a volunteer overseas, has a young family, loves skiing, snowboarding, and cycling. He still enjoys taking his family back and pitching in on the family farm, and many family weekends at the beach.

Rose joined Austbrokers Life in 2015 and has completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies whilst working in the support team.
